Way back in 1976, our Government brought us the Swine Flu - First Generation. Same hype except we didn't have as many media outlets. Same dilemma - take it or not. The government recommended it. We stood in lines for what seemed to be hours to get it. We were good citizens. The government was taking care of us. The vaccine was safe - they said so.
Today we are much more mobile society, more global, more visiting relatives from other countries bringing it across the pond in both directions, and a lot more big government healthcare push throughs. And, more big government lobbiests from the pharma companies, who will make billions selling and pushing their vaccines. Separating the H1N1 vaccine from the seasonal flu vaccines means two shots, two trips to doctor or clinic to get them, and two times the co-pays. It's a win-win situation, and a big opportunity for Obama's Healthcare initiative to shine.
Conspiracies theories abound about antivirals being in artificial short supply, Tamiflu and Relenza, maybe even being horded as a government required sequestering, to force people who want any protection, even if they do not wish to take the unproven H1N1 vaccine, to have little or no other option. Again, pushing up pharma sales of vaccines, and having the Obama's Nation heathcare shine a little brighter. As in, Look what our healthcare plan can bring you? Remember though if the government is as charitable as they'd have you believe, all those shots should be free to all US Citizens. But that would be to the detriment of those darned big pharma guys with their big medical bags open for incoming windfalls.
The difference between Swine Flu - 1976 and Swine Flu 2009... wait for it!!
People no longer trusts the government to do the correct thing, and make the correct decisions for us. And in part it is exactly the same people who bring the swine flu controversy on your daily news, that are a part of the Swine Flu 2009 media blitz to a population more educated, more global, with world-eye experience. And, we are questioning this time - the safety and efficacy.

Thought We Had A Buyer For Our North Myrtle Beach Condo
Well after 2.0years trying to sell our nice, clean condo on Cherry Grove Beach, SC We got a good offer on our condo and the buyer from Florence SC who wanted a house, Now our $140,000 house sounded good to her, she was buying under a first time home owner program, and she was being a pain, trying to get all they could fixed and repaired, and all the door stoppers she could get replaced. She whined and demanded all repairs be made by a licensed HVAC contractor. She forced us to buy her a home warranty plans. She was being Represented by a buyer Agent for Century-21Harrelson Myrtle Beach. But the real thing she wanted was her first choice the unit below us unit 102c. Which the buyer put a contract on in, that unit was tied up in a short sale, her closing date, because of the foreclosure, had been extended and extended, and the Short Sale mtg. group would not release the money for closing. Our Buyer's contract she had on 1020c there was about to expire, and she latched on to our condo walking away from that seller also.
Within 3 days of signing our contract, 102-C's financing gelled up, and Mrs Buyer, started backpedaling trying to get out of our contract,Our condo had an extensive repair list - most improvements few repairs, and our family was in no financial shape to complete repairs, but we did for her.
Mrs homebuyer backpedalled faster, then went for the fact she had pneumonia and now can't move there because of any mold issues - which was issues were not mentioned in the HO Inspection and she was lying about to "build" her case.
She chose not to buy my condo and just completely breached our contract - A BIG No NO!. She didn't even go to the the closing, and boy did I get tissed off. She got an attorney, she told him the sad pneumonia story. She wanted me to release her completely AND GIVE HER HER EARNEST MONEY BACK, -
Ending - just like you'd think - she spread false rumors about me to the lawyers. I fought back against her, because morally and ethically she and her agent Jill were on a slippery legal slope, by lying about why she couldn't live there, how her buyer steered her back to her original choice --Big Ending. Century 21 was a contract attorney for Bank of America and Wells Fargo - and got a bigger commission for getting these short homes off their books, our condo has no buyer and we're still fighting over the legality of who gets the earnest money!
All these bad things to us the buyers, and they screwed us over good (without the courtesy of a jar of vaseline). This agency committed some real real ethical lines and deception, failed to get their buyer to the table, allowed let their buyer lie, cheat, falsify documents. Things I would have never imagined a C-21 Agency to allow to happen, on a straight forward home sale = $139,000. And the buyer now won't sign off of the release to release us from each other. (she's wanting to get a restraining order against me because I called her 2 times - trying to get information on her intentions for closing.) and now she's got it on the release papers we signed, that she will file a harrassment charge against me if I ever contact her again,
Ive never seen a woman act like this(btw) Psychologist, previous accident settlement winner, and takes no personal responsibility for entering into a legal contract and then (oops, I don't want that condo and getting off scott free.
Two Points - A Real Estate Purchase contract is not like a sweater from Macy's - you can't just take it back!
In Pres Obama' words - It was a teachable 5 days. Most importantly you learn quickly how the stereotyped buyer and her Real Estate Agent - earned that profile detail...
